Welcome to our online lesson for PDHPE. Today we will be talking about Cyberbullying via social media.
We will be discussing:
- What cyberbullying is,
- What cyberbullying looks like
- How to identify and protect yourself and others against cyberbullying and
- Where to seek help if you or someone else needs it.
On this website is a video along with a PowerPoint presentation. Then there are four cyberbullying resources for you to explore, an interactive crossword puzzle and a short quiz at the end to see if you have reached your learning outcomes.
What I would also like to touch on before we move on is our schools ICT (information, Communication and Technology) policy. If you remember back to the start of the year, an ICT agreement was sent home or was available online for you and your parents to discuss and acknowledge. This agreement was about using technology in a safe and ethical manner and within school and government guidelines. Once back in the classroom as an extension of this lesson, we will go over that agreement to reiterate those guidelines. Cyberbullying forms part of the ICT policy, so it is imperative that you all understand them.
